William Swindler, one of the oldest citizens of Brown Twp, died at his home E. of Browns Valley, on Thurs. last. Death resulted from heart failure. He was b. 84 years ago. His wife and son, Albert survive him. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. WD Headrick of Indianapolis at the home on Sat. Interment in Indiana Creek Cem. The deceased was a life long member of the Christian Church.

William SWINDLER, 84, died at his home a mile east of Brown's Valley Thursday evening heart failure causing the aged man's demise. Mr. Swindler became suddenly critically ill during the early evening and death came in a few minutes. Funeral services will be held from the late home and burial in Indian Creek Cemetery. Mr. Swindler was recognized as one of the leading farmers of Brown Twp and his list of friends included citizens of every part of Montgomery County. He was at all times willing to contribute liberally to every movement for the betterment of the community in which he lived and his acts did much to aid the growth of Brown Twp. The aged man by careful saving and investment had amassed a considerable income. The aged wife of the deeased and his one son, Albert survive him. A daughter, Harriet died two years ago, her demise occuring on Thursday of the Montgomery County fair. Mr. Swindler was for years a faithful and active member of the Christian Church. - kbz
